THREE BIBLICAL TRUTHS TO REMEMBER AND REJOICE

The gospel rhythm that you and I need to find our lives in tune with is really that rhythm of remembering who God is, what God has done, what He has accomplished on our behalf and then rejoicing in that. And you will find that a firm foundation regardless of circumstance. It’s when you forget that you get yourself in problems and when the weight of the world feels crushing.

1. Remember and rejoice that God saved you. God saved you. It is unbelievably imperative that you understand that you did not save you.
God saved you. You don’t save you. This is not your act, not your work. This should be fresh news to those of you who find it impossible to measure up to God’s standards. Ephesians 2:13, “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
You were brought near by the blood of Christ. It is the blood of Christ that enables you to come near to the Father. God saved you.

2. Remember and rejoice that God is sovereign over all things. We remember and rejoice that God has not abandoned us to our circumstances, regardless of what those circumstances are. It doesn’t matter how dark the night is, we have not been abandoned to wrestle with sin, we have not been abandoned to deal with dark days and we have not been abandoned to walk through hard things on our own.
You need the Spirit’s power to believe in the promises of God to overcome temptation, not your grit, not your will, not your flesh. Flesh begets flesh. You need the Spirit to overcome the flesh. And that’s the point of Galatians 3-5.

3. Rejoice and remember that God started this, therefore God will finish this. If you believe you save you, then of course you’ve got doubts about whether or not you can carry that on to completion. But if God saved you, then God has the ability to carry on to completion because God does not fail. That’s why it’s so imperative that you get and understand that salvation belongs to God and if you have it, it was given to you by God. “Salvation belongs to our God” is what Revelation would say. Let me give you some texts. Philippians 1:6, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” God began it. God will finish it. God is never surprised by you screwing up. That has never taken Him aback. You can’t wear Him out. He does not grow weary.

Struggling

Struggling is never far; temptations and giving in is not a new thing. But there is a way to struggle godly:

Position yourself under the waterfall of grace
Put yourself in front of biblical teachings]
Put yourself in communities where you are honestly walking with others about where you are spiritually
Wait whiles walking in obedience

One step at a time, one day at a time
Asking for God to break your heart, asking for joy to restore the joy of your salvation to you
Asking God to make Him your treasure

Because;
But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Trust In Christ to the Hilt with Gutsy Guilt

Micah 7:8-9
Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise;
when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me.
I will bear the indignation of the LORD because I have sinned against him,
until he pleads my cause and executes judgment for me.
He will bring me out to the light; I shall look upon his vindication.

In God alone I put my trust and as David said; "Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment".
God help me

Will Your Anchor Hold?

I thank God for my life this morning and the song He has placed in my heart and would like to share it with all.

Hebrews 6:19 - We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain [ESV]

Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,
When the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift and the cables strain,
Will your anchor drift, or firm remain?

We have an anchor that keeps the soul
Steadfast and sure while the billows roll,
Fastened to the Rock which cannot move,
Grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love.

It is safely moored, ’twill the storm withstand,
For ’tis well secured by the Savior’s hand;
And the cables, passed from His heart to mine,
Can defy that blast, thro’ strength divine.

Will your anchor hold in the Straits of Fear,
When the breakers roar and the reef is near?
Though the surges rave, and the wild winds blow,
Shall the angry waves then your bark o’erflow?

Will your anchor hold in the Floods of Death,
When the waters cold chill your latest breath?
On the rising tide it can never fail,
While your anchor holds within the Veil.

Will your eyes behold through the morning light
The city of gold, our harbour bright?
We shall anchor safe by the heav’nly shore,
When life's storms are past forevermore.

The world acts like the ultimate distraction from God and keeps us from reaching the spiritual heights that He has planned for us. All through the storms and hardships; we ought to stay firm and strong and rest in Christ alone and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

TRAPPED !!!

I'm trapped, trapped inside myself; I want to get out, get out and be free. I don't want to live in my shell, But I'm scared, scared to take away my mask.

Friends are forever letting me down, No matter how close they are. They are there if I have a problem, But when I don't I may as well not exist.

I want someone to trust and care about me, someone to cry on and someone to listen. I want someone to love me for who I am, Not the masked me whom everyone knows.

Unfortunately none of this can ever come true, not from someone on this earth anyway. No one I know is perfect; No one I know can fulfil this.

Except...

Someone I know who is watching down on everyone of us. He has a special plane and a purpose for anyone who turns to Him. There will still be hardship and sorrow, But these will make you strong.

He can be trusted, he is ever so faithful. He cares deeply about each person on this earth. He can be cried upon, and will cry with you. He even puts each tear we cry in a bottle. He is the best listener anyone could be, And most of all He loves us for who we are, No matter what we have done.

"Who could do all this?" I hear you ask. It's a very dear and special friend of mine called Jesus, with whom I can take away my mask and be free.

ABUNDANT GRACE

There but for the grace of God, I stand
There but for the grace of God, I am judged
There but for the grace of God, I am condemned
There but for the grace of God, I am damned forever
The only thing that makes a difference between me and the one who will stand at the Great White Throne of Judgement is the unconditional love and the unmerited favour of Jesus Christ

What Do You Say?

The mind is a powerful thing, one minute you have something figured out and then next you are flooded with numerous ideas that makes it hard for you to come to a decision.
You believe something for so long, then after a while you start questioning it to the extend that, you have to ask yourself if you believed in the first place.

I find my peace of mind in God, I lose it all when I stray away. I stumble and fall but I know God will help me get rid of my suicidal reliance on self. I don't want to despair.

I believe in God, I believe in Jesus, I believe He rose from the grace...I believe I am His.
God alone can save me, God alone can change me heart and create in me a new spirit, I am weak but yet strong as I claim the grace and fortitude of the Cross of Calvary and cling to the power of the Holy Spirit.

My daily prayer:
I NEED YOU LORD....I NEED YOU LORD.....HELP ME HEAL ME. You are my only hope when all is said and done.

God, give me a new nature, making me one with you so that I hate sin instead of loving it as I do."
